26 February 2026, Bangkok — The 19th IMT-GT Strategic Planning Meeting (SPM) Plenary Session brought together Senior Officials, Working Group Chairs, the Joint Business Council (JBC), the IMT-GT University Network (UNINET), the Centre for IMT-GT Subregional Cooperation (CIMT), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), and the ASEAN Secretariat to assess implementation progress and chart strategic priorities for 2026.
During the session, delegates deliberated on CIMT’s Work Plan for 2026 and considered consolidated reports from all eight IMT-GT Working Groups, JBC, and UNINET, alongside updates from ADB and the ASEAN Secretariat.
Discussions focused on endorsing priority initiatives, enhancing sectoral coordination, and ensuring alignment with broader regional frameworks and commitments.
The meeting underscored IMT-GT’s continued commitment to translating strategic direction into coordinated, measurable, and results-oriented actions that advance inclusive, resilient, and sustainable growth across the subregion.
